Sure they're violent (or portrayed like that in Europe) but for supporting their club in such a unique way its has its advantages : Protests can lead to managers or even the board being sacked, transfers can be blocked and they can boycott games by not turning up (because if the Ultras arent there, whose going to cheer the team or create an intimidating atmosphere for the opponents?)
