Jun 12, 2008 - We watched this for an english class of mine, too. This is purely a beautiful movie. Although, I dislike how the trailer makes it seem like a foreign version of The Notebook, when in reality it's farrrrr from that.

I suggest you to watch the following movies too: "mediterraneo", "la vita è bella" , "amarcord" , "the good the bad the ugly"(the best western movie ever made), "once upon a time in America" beuautiful movie by Sergio Leone with Robert De Niro, and "The Pursuit of Happyness" by Gabriele Muccino with Will Smith I think these are my favourite italian movies actually

Jul 25, 2008 - This is my all-time favorite romantic movie..it tops "Casablanca". I bought the old version, which I understand had about 40 minutes chopped from the director's cut. Now I want to get the extended version after seeing this trailer. I was so impressed with this movie that I made a music video of certain scenes that seem to go perfectly with the song, "She will be Loved" by Maroon Five. I think I added it as a video response.

Jul 28, 2008 - This movie is my favorite movie of all time. the music alone makes me cry, I met an Italian girl 2 years ago, we fell in love and our 1st conversation was about cinema paradiso, she didnt know it, I told her the story and she loved it, we started dating and CP took a back seat, eventually her time in Ireland was up and she had to go home, I haven't seen her since, but before she left I gave her the dvd with a note, and told her I wouldn't watch this movie again until I could watch it with her..

Nov 6, 2008 - I just saw it last week and I cried like a baby. I saw the first version and I cried, now i thought i was imune to this movie. I am not. It`s a great story, its sad, its amazing.
